Mogilev Dairy Factory was commissioned in 1979. It was transformed into a joint stock company in 1995 within the framework of the privatization campaign. On March 14, 2006 Mogilev City Hall officially renamed Mogilev Dairy Factory OJSC, registering it as Babushkina Krynka OJSC in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Sole Traders.
Over the past eight years Babushkina Krynka OJSC took over seven local dairy plants, growing into Belarus’ largest dairy producer. In 2001 the company absorbed Krugloye Butter Plant OJSC and Krasnopolye Whole Milk Substitute Plant OJSC, in April 2005 – Kirovsk Butter Plant OJSC, Belynichi Cheese Factory OJSC and Dribin Butter Plant OJSC. Krichev Butter Plant OJSC merged with the company in December 2005, and Kostyukovichi Dairy Factory OJSC was taken over in late 2006.
Over the past five years the company’s sales grew 11-fold, while the total output increased 10-fold and the output of consumer goods rose 8-fold. In 2008 Babushkina Krynka OJSC paid BYR 26.98 billion in taxes to the state budget and non-budgetary funds.

Best Products of the Year 208 (Minsk) – the winner’s diplomas in the following nominations: fermented milk products (Happy Grandchildren dairy yoghurt and Bifiland fermented milk drink), semi-hard cheese (Russian Young cheese), chocolate butter (Babushkina Krynka chocolate butter). The company also won the stable quality grand prix.
In December 2008 Russian Young cheese made by Babushkina Krynka OJSC was recognized to be the best Belarusian products on the Russian market.
In addition, in December 2008 Babushkina Krynka OJSC received its second award from the Belarusian government for the introduction of efficient quality management methods and the production of goods with a high competitive ability. Babushkina Krynka is Belarus’ only food producer that has twice received the award.
